WHAT IS LASER ENGRAVING?
Laser engraving is the process of using a laser beam to burn or engrave on many forms of materials such as wood, metal, marble, granite, acrylic, glass and much more.
WHAT KIND OF MATERIALS CAN BE LASER ENGRAVED ON?
We can engrave on most materials including wood, marble, granite, acrylic, plastic, leather, silicone and treated metals.
WHAT TYPE OF IMAGES ARE BEST FOR ENGRAVING?
When it comes to quality, the quality of the image greatly determines the quality of the engraving. Most images are acceptable for engraving, some are not. The ones that are not usually have certain characteristics about them such as very faded, very low detail or the subject has a shadow over it. Usually the higher the detail and the better the contrast the better the results. Some images just need a minor adjustment others more extensive work and we provide this service free with each order.
When it comes to image size, the larger the image the better. With that said, its better to not resize the image before either uploading or emailing any image file. We accept almost any image file but we recommend JPG, JPEG, PSD, PNG, BMP, and TIFF file formats. We will work with what you have and do our best to prepare the picture for engraving.
HOW DO I GET MY PERSONAL PHOTO TO YOU?
You can e-mail a digital file of the picture; upload during your order on the products page, go to our upload tab, or you can scan a photo and e-mail it to us or if that doesn't work you can mail us your photo, we will scan it and return it with your finished product.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SCAN MY IMAGE IN FOR ENGRAVING?
Although we accept almost all forms of image files, if your scanning your image we request you scan it at 300 DPI.
WILL I BE ABLE TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY PROOF ONCE I SEE IT?
Yes! We will work with you until you are satisfied with the design.
WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME ON ORDERS?
Once we receive your approval on a design we complete most single orders in 3-5 days. It may take time to process your art work but we want to ensure you approve all proofs. Bulk orders will take additional time. We do our best to meet your needs so please contact us and we will try to accommodate you. We choose not to charge for art work which is why our delivery time is a bit longer.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
We guarantee our personalized products to be free of defects. However, because these are one of a kind items we do not offer refunds for items that have been personalized. Please be aware that every type of material is different, and each piece has a unique grain pattern or coloration. For wood It is common for pieces to have light burning marks/wood marks and wood knots. These are natural and not considered flaws. For images please remember these images are not in color and we do our best to get the result you are looking for in the item. If there is a quality issue with the product itself upon arrival, damaged in shipping, scratches, etc, please contact us so that we can come to a resolution.
